This mission serves as your introduction to gang warfare and the importance of territory in San Andreas. You'll be working with Ryder to retrieve some firearms and then engage in your first gang shootout. Be prepared for a direct confrontation.

Walkthrough:

1. Picking Up Ryder:
  • Head over to Ryder's house in Grove Street. It's the house directly across from CJ's, identifiable by the red mission marker.
  • Park your car in the marker to trigger the cutscene and pick him up.
2. Driving to Emmet's:
  • Ryder will instruct you to drive to Emmet's place. Emmet is an old, somewhat senile, arms dealer located in Willowfield, just a short drive south-east from Grove Street.
  • Follow the yellow route on your mini-map. The destination will be marked with a red mission marker.
3. Retrieving and Practicing with the 9mm Pistol:
  • Upon arrival at Emmet's, another cutscene will play. Emmet will provide you with a 9mm Pistol and some ammunition.
  • You'll then be prompted to practice shooting. Aim at the various bottles and tires scattered around Emmet's yard.
  • Strategy: Take your time with the 9mm. It's a reliable sidearm, but its accuracy improves with controlled shots. Aim for headshots on the targets for maximum efficiency. You'll need to hit a certain number of targets to proceed.
4. Retrieving and Practicing with the AK-47:
  • After demonstrating your proficiency with the 9mm, Emmet will offer you an AK-47. This is your first taste of a powerful assault rifle in San Andreas.
  • You'll be directed to another set of targets, usually further away or in more challenging positions.
  • Strategy: The AK-47 is excellent for crowd control and sustained fire. For closer targets, short bursts are effective. For targets at a distance, try to tap the fire button for more controlled shots, or use the aiming reticle to compensate for recoil during sustained fire. Again, hit the required number of targets to move on.
5. Driving Ryder Home:
  • Once you've finished your target practice with both weapons, get back into your car with Ryder.
  • Drive him back to Grove Street. The mission will conclude once you drop him off at his house.
