Vehicle Missions (e.g., Pimping, Freight)

Beyond the main storyline, San Andreas offers several side missions that use specific vehicles, providing both financial rewards and unique bonuses. Mastering these missions can significantly boost your income and unlock helpful perks.

Pimping Mission

The Pimping mission allows CJ to earn money by driving prostitutes to their clients and then collecting payment. Completing this mission is essential for a significant cash bonus and a unique perk.

• Vehicle: You must use a Broadway. These can often be found in the more rundown areas of Los Santos, particularly around East Los Santos or Idlewood.
• Activation: Enter a Broadway and press the mission activation button (R3 on PlayStation, or the equivalent on other platforms).
• Gameplay:
  1. Pick up a prostitute (marked on your radar as a pink icon).
  2. Drive her to her client (marked as a yellow icon).
  3. Wait for the transaction to complete.
  4. Pick up the prostitute again.
  5. Drive her back to her original location or another designated drop-off point.
  6. Occasionally, a client will refuse to pay or try to harm the prostitute. You'll need to intervene, often by chasing down and eliminating the client.
• Completion: There are 10 levels to the Pimping mission.
• Reward: Upon completing all 10 levels, prostitutes will pay you when you pick them up, rather than you paying them. This is a permanent perk.

Freight Mission (Train Mission)

The Freight mission involves driving a train across the state, adhering to a strict schedule and stopping at designated stations. This mission is a great way to earn money and test your driving precision.

• Vehicle: You must commandeer a Freight Train. These are found on the railway tracks throughout San Andreas. The easiest way to start is to find one at a train station, such as the one in Unity Station in Los Santos, or the stations in Las Venturas or San Fierro.
• Activation: Enter the cab of the Freight Train and press the mission activation button (R3 on PlayStation, or the equivalent on other platforms).
• Gameplay:
  1. The mission requires you to drive the train from one major city to another (e.g., Los Santos to Las Venturas, or San Fierro to Los Santos).
  2. You will have a time limit to reach each station.
  3. Crucially, you must maintain a safe speed and brake appropriately to stop the train within the designated yellow markers at each station. Over-shooting or under-shooting the stop will result in a penalty and can fail the mission if done too often.
  4. The train's speed is controlled by the analog stick or directional keys (up/down for acceleration/deceleration). Braking requires careful timing due to the train's momentum.
• Completion: There are 2 levels to the Freight mission, each requiring a successful round trip across the state.
• Reward: Completing both levels of the Freight mission will earn you a significant cash reward and the "Conductor" achievement/trophy.

Other Vehicle Missions

While Pimping and Freight are distinct, don't forget other vehicle-based side activities that offer rewards:

• Taxi Driver: Drive a Taxi (found commonly in all cities) and pick up passengers, dropping them off at their destinations within a time limit. Completing 50 fares (not necessarily consecutively) unlocks the ability for all taxis to have hydraulics.
• Paramedic: Drive an Ambulance (found at hospitals or after calling 911) and pick up injured citizens, transporting them to the hospital. Completing Level 12 grants CJ maximum health.
• Firefighter: Drive a Fire Truck (found at fire stations or after calling 911) and extinguish burning vehicles and people. Completing Level 12 makes CJ fireproof.
• Vigilante: Drive a Police Car (found at police stations or after gaining a wanted level) and chase down and eliminate criminals. Completing Level 12 grants CJ 150 armor.
