Random Event Completion Checklist
Achieving 100% completion in Grand Theft Auto V requires successfully completing all 60 unique Random Events scattered across Los Santos and Blaine County. While many are straightforward, some require specific actions, character choices, or even a bit of luck to trigger. This comprehensive checklist will guide you through each event, ensuring you don't miss a single one.
General Tips for Random Events:
- Character Specificity: Some events are tied to a particular protagonist. Pay attention to who you're playing as.
- Time of Day: A few events only appear during specific times (day or night).
- Proximity: You generally need to be relatively close to the event's trigger zone for it to appear on your mini-map as a blue dot.
- Completion Tracking: The in-game Stats menu (under "Random Events Completed") will track your progress.
- Replayability: Most events, once completed, will not reappear. However, some have multiple outcomes depending on your choices.

- Broken Down Car: Appears on the side of the road in various locations, often in Blaine County. Help the person fix their tire or give them a ride.
- Lost Cyclist: Encountered on the dirt roads near Mount Chiliad. Help the cyclist retrieve their stolen bike.

- Deal Gone Wrong: This event is crucial for 100% completion. You'll find two Irishmen in a shootout with a gang in the Grand Senora Desert, near the Bolingbroke Penitentiary.
- Initial Encounter: Approach the scene as Trevor. Eliminate the rival gang members.
- Decision Point: The two Irishmen will ask for a ride. You can either drive them to their destination (near Sandy Shores Airfield) or take them to the Altruist Cult.
- Outcome: Delivering them to their destination completes the event with a small monetary reward. Delivering them to the Altruist Cult will trigger a unique Altruist Cult Shootout event later, which is also required for 100% completion. It is highly recommended to deliver them to the Altruist Cult as Trevor to unlock the subsequent event.
- Border Patrol: Encountered in Blaine County, often near the US-Mexico border. You'll find a group of vigilantes harassing immigrants. You can choose to intervene or ignore them.
