Rampage Locations
Rampages are timed challenges scattered across Vice City Stories, marked by a glowing skull icon. Activating one tasks you with eliminating a specific number of gang members or destroying vehicles within a strict time limit, usually with a pre-selected weapon. Completing all Rampages is crucial for 100% game completion and rewards you with a significant cash bonus and increased respect.
Before attempting any Rampage, ensure you're well-prepared. Stock up on armor and health if possible, and familiarize yourself with the immediate area. Some Rampages provide powerful weapons, but having your own arsenal of SMGs, assault rifles, and explosives can be a lifesaver for others. Remember, the game saves automatically after each successful Rampage, so don't be afraid to try again if you fail.
Vice City Beach (East Island)
- Rampage 1: Ocean Beach - South Alley
- Location: Head south from the Ocean View Hotel. Look for an alleyway between two buildings, just before the southern bend of the main road. The skull icon will be visible near some dumpsters.
- Objective: Kill 30 gang members.
- Strategy: You'll be given an M4. This area is often frequented by Cholos. Position yourself strategically at the mouth of the alley or on the street, using cars for cover. Aim for headshots to conserve ammo and take down enemies quickly. Watch out for enemies spawning behind you.
- Rampage 2: Washington Beach - Lighthouse Park
- Location: On the small island where the lighthouse stands, accessible via a bridge from Washington Beach. The skull is near the base of the lighthouse.
- Objective: Destroy 10 vehicles.
- Strategy: You'll receive an RPG. This Rampage is straightforward but requires good aim. Target parked cars first, then any moving vehicles that enter your line of sight. Be mindful of the limited rocket count; make each shot count. If you run out of rockets, switch to an SMG or assault rifle and target vehicle engines.
- Rampage 3: Vice Point - North Mall Entrance
- Location: At the northern entrance of the North Point Mall, near the large parking lot.
- Objective: Kill 25 gang members.
- Strategy: You're equipped with a Shotgun. This can be tricky due to the open space. Try to lure enemies into tighter areas or use the parked cars for cover. The Shotgun is devastating at close range, so try to close the distance quickly and efficiently.
Vice City Mainland (West Island)
- Rampage 4: Downtown - Construction Site
- Location: Inside the large construction site in Downtown, usually accessible from the street near the hospital. The skull is on the ground level.
- Objective: Kill 35 gang members.
- Strategy: You'll be given an AK-47. The construction site offers many levels and cover points. Use the scaffolding and partially built structures to your advantage, picking off enemies from elevated positions. Be aware of enemies approaching from multiple directions.
- Rampage 5: Little Havana - Alleyway Ambush
- Location: A narrow alleyway in Little Havana, often near the Cuban Cafe or the industrial area. Look for it between two businesses.
- Objective: Kill 20 gang members.
- Strategy: You're armed with a Flamethrower. This Rampage is chaotic but fun. The tight confines of the alley make the Flamethrower incredibly effective. Just be careful not to get caught in your own flames or surrounded. Keep moving and sweep the area with fire.
- Rampage 6: Escobar International Airport - Runway Perimeter
- Location: Along the perimeter road of the airport, often near the cargo planes or the main terminal entrance.
- Objective: Destroy 15 vehicles.
- Strategy: You'll receive a Minigun. This is one of the more exhilarating Rampages. The Minigun shreds vehicles quickly. Drive around the perimeter road in a fast car (if you have one handy, otherwise use a nearby vehicle) and mow down any cars, vans, or even small aircraft you see. The airport usually has plenty of traffic.
Remember that the specific gang members you face might vary depending on your current progress in the story and which gangs control certain territories. Always prioritize your safety and use the environment to your advantage.
