Beyond basic shooting, several techniques can give you an edge in combat. Headshots deal significantly more damage, often taking down enemies in a single shot. Practice aiming for the head, especially with pistols and assault rifles. Utilize cover effectively; standing behind objects will reduce incoming damage. The game's auto-aim system (L button) is helpful, but manually adjusting your aim with the analog stick for headshots is superior. Learn to roll (double-tap X while aiming) to quickly evade incoming fire. In vehicle combat, use drive-by shootings (L + Circle) to target enemies from your car, and learn to perform pit maneuvers to disable enemy vehicles.
