Attracting police attention is inevitable in Vice City. To reduce your wanted level, you can visit a Pay 'n' Spray (removes all stars for a fee), collect Police Bribes (star icons scattered around the city, each removes one star), or simply evade the police until the stars flash and disappear. For higher wanted levels (3+ stars), escaping the immediate area and finding a secluded spot is often the best strategy. Avoid direct confrontations with SWAT, FBI, or the Army unless absolutely necessary, as they are heavily armed and difficult to defeat. Knowing when to run and when to fight is key to survival.
