The confrontation with Ricardo Diaz occurs during the mission 'Rub Out'. Diaz is not a traditional boss with unique attacks, but rather a well-armed and protected target within his mansion. The challenge lies in navigating his heavily guarded estate and eliminating him amidst a hail of gunfire. This mission requires heavy firepower and careful movement.
Phase 1: Infiltrating the Mansion
Approach Diaz's mansion with a powerful assault rifle (M4 or Ruger) and a shotgun (Spaz-12). Clear the initial guards outside the mansion. Use cover effectively and prioritize headshots. There are usually a few guards patrolling the grounds. Once inside, you'll face more guards in the main hall. Use the pillars and furniture for cover. A shotgun is excellent here.
Phase 2: Confronting Diaz
Diaz himself will be on the upper floor, often in his office or balcony. He is well-armed and has bodyguards. Use your assault rifle to pick off his guards from a distance. When you get close to Diaz, he will be more aggressive. Keep moving, use cover, and unleash a barrage of bullets. He can take a fair amount of damage, so sustained fire is necessary. pick up health and armor pickups if available within the mansion. Once Diaz is down, the mission is complete, and you'll acquire his mansion as a new asset.
