The Jaguar is one of the most dangerous predators in Green Hell. It's fast, deals heavy damage, and can ambush you from stealth. Encountering a Jaguar is often a sudden and terrifying experience.

Phases & Behavior:
- Stalking Phase: The Jaguar will often stalk you silently, indicated by a growl or a sudden increase in ambient tension. It will try to get behind you for a surprise attack.
- Charge Phase: Once it commits, the Jaguar will charge directly at you, attempting to pounce.
- Attack & Retreat: After a successful pounce or a few swipes, it may retreat briefly before charging again.
Weaknesses & Strategy:
- Ranged Attacks: A Bow with Bone or Metal Arrows is your best friend. Aim for the head for critical damage.
- Traps: Setting a Large Animal Trap (Long Sticks + Rope) in an area where Jaguars are known to roam can be effective.
- High Ground: If possible, climb onto a rock or a fallen log. Jaguars can jump, but this can give you a slight advantage.
- Melee Defense: If forced into melee, a Metal Axe or Obsidian Spear is best. Block (Right Mouse Button) to mitigate some damage, then counter-attack.
- Fire: Torches can sometimes deter a Jaguar, but it's not a guaranteed solution.
Rewards:
Killing a Jaguar provides a large amount of Meat, Bones, and Jaguar Skin, which can be used for crafting advanced items and armor. However, the primary reward is survival and the removal of a significant threat from an area.
