Unlocking New Venues

Unlocking new venues is primarily tied to your overall career progression and achieving specific performance milestones across different difficulty levels. Unlike the console versions, the Arcade iteration streamlines this process, focusing on consistent play rather than purchasing items from a store.

The Rock Club (Default): This is your starting venue, a gritty, intimate club setting perfect for launching your rock career. No special action is needed to access it.
The Amphitheater: To unlock The Amphitheater, a larger outdoor stage, you must successfully complete the entire Medium difficulty career mode. This means finishing all tiers and playing through the encore song. Focus on maintaining a high star rating (4-5 stars) on each song to ensure smooth progression.
The Arena: The ultimate stage! Unlocking The Arena, a massive stadium venue, requires you to conquer the entire Hard difficulty career mode. This is a significant challenge, demanding precision and mastery of complex note patterns. Prioritize hitting every note and utilizing Star Power effectively to maximize your score and ensure completion.
The Battle Royale (Hidden Venue): This unique, high-energy venue is unlocked by achieving a 5-star rating on every song in the game across all difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard). This is a true test of skill and dedication. We recommend tackling this after you've comfortably completed Hard mode. Strategize your Star Power deployment and practice difficult sections repeatedly.

Unlocking Special Stages

While full venues are tied to career progression, certain songs feature unique stage variations that can be unlocked or are automatically available under specific conditions. These are less about a new environment and more about a dynamic change within an existing venue.

Pyrotechnics Overload: For songs that feature heavy rock anthems or particularly intense solos (e.g., "Symphony of Destruction," "War Pigs"), achieving a 100% note streak during a solo section on Hard or Expert difficulty will often trigger an enhanced pyrotechnics display. This isn't a separate stage, but a visual upgrade to the existing venue.
Audience Surge: Maintain a consistently high performance (over 90% accuracy) throughout an entire song on any difficulty. The crowd will become significantly more animated, and the stage lighting will intensify, creating a more immersive experience. This is a subtle, dynamic unlock that rewards consistent play.
Encore Stage Lighting: When you reach and successfully complete an encore song in any career mode, the stage lighting and visual effects will automatically shift to a more dramatic, spotlight-focused presentation, regardless of the venue.
