Coastal Combat & Antlions — Half-Life 2 Guide

The coast is home to a new enemy: Antlions. These insectoid creatures emerge from the sand and are vulnerable to explosives or concentrated fire. They are attracted to vibrations, so avoid walking on sand whenever possible. You'll also encounter Combine Snipers positioned in strategic locations. Use your buggy's speed to rush them or find cover and eliminate them with a long-range weapon. You'll need to disable several Combine force fields and clear paths for your buggy. The chapter culminates in a large Antlion nest where you'll acquire the Bugbait.
