The Antlion Guard is a formidable foe, often encountered in large numbers or guarding critical paths. These hulking creatures are heavily armored and possess a devastating melee attack. Fortunately, they have distinct weaknesses that can be exploited with the right approach.

Primary Weakness: The Head

  • The Antlion Guard's most vulnerable point is its head. While its body is heavily armored, a well-aimed shot to the head can deal significant damage.
  • The Gravity Gun is exceptionally useful here. You can pick up and throw explosive barrels directly at their heads for massive damage, often killing them in one or two hits.
  • If you don't have explosive barrels readily available, the Assault Rifle or Pulse Rifle with precise aiming can also be effective. Focus fire on the head to maximize your damage output.

Environmental Hazards

  • Antlion Guards are susceptible to environmental damage. Look for opportunities to lure them into areas with:
