After clearing the dam, you'll continue through more open water sections. You'll encounter more Combine patrols and turrets. This chapter introduces the SMG (Submachine Gun), a versatile weapon effective against multiple enemies. Look for it in a small resistance outpost or from fallen Combine soldiers. You'll also encounter Barnacles, which are stationary enemies that grab you with their tongues. Shoot their tongues or the creature itself to kill them. Be careful not to drive your hovercraft into their grasp. You'll also face more challenging platforming sections with the hovercraft, requiring precise maneuvering.
