Dungeon Run (Kobolds & Catacombs)
Dungeon Run, introduced with the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion, is a highly acclaimed roguelike single-player mode that challenges players to test their deck-building and strategic prowess. In this mode, you select a class and embark on a perilous journey through eight increasingly difficult boss encounters. After each victory, you are presented with a choice of new cards and incredibly powerful passive treasures to add to your deck, allowing for dynamic and often unexpected deck evolution. The absolute key to success in Dungeon Run is to build a synergistic deck that can effectively handle a wide variety of threats. This means looking for combinations of cards that work well together, such as minions that buff each other or spells that complement your minion strategy. Experimentation is highly encouraged, as different card choices and treasure selections can lead to vastly different and powerful deck builds. For instance, choosing a treasure that grants +1/+1 to all your minions can make even basic 1-mana minions a significant threat. The challenge lies in adapting your strategy based on the cards and treasures you are offered, aiming to create a cohesive and powerful deck capable of overcoming the escalating difficulty of the bosses.
