Mastering stealth is paramount in Hello Neighbor. Beyond basic crouching, consider these advanced techniques:

- Sound Masking: The Neighbor reacts to sound. Use this to your advantage. If you need to break a window or drop a loud item, do it when the Neighbor is already making noise (e.g., watching TV, hammering). This can mask your own sounds.
- Line of Sight Breaking: Always use corners, furniture, and doorways to break the Neighbor's line of sight. If he loses sight of you, he'll often return to his patrol route or search the last known area, giving you a window to escape.
- Feinting & Luring: Throw an item in one direction to draw the Neighbor's attention, then quickly move in the opposite direction. This is especially effective for clearing a path to a key objective.
- Trap Management: Learn where the Neighbor places his traps. In later acts, he'll adapt. If you disarm a bear trap, consider picking it up and placing it in a strategic location where he might step on it, temporarily stunning him.
- Vertical Movement: Don't forget about verticality. Climbing on top of furniture, using stacked boxes, or finding vents can often provide unexpected routes and hiding spots that the Neighbor might not immediately check.
The Neighbor's AI is designed to learn, so constantly vary your approach. Don't rely on the same trick twice in a row, as he will likely counter it.
