Alternative Endings (Dream No More, Embrace the Void)

To access alternative endings like Dream No More or Embrace the Void, players must engage with specific late-game objectives. A key step involves obtaining the Twisted Bud, which initiates a secret quest and influences the available endings. This path often requires navigating new zones and acquiring unique abilities.

For alternative endings, it is recommended to complete mid and late-game main story objectives before pursuing the Twisted Bud questline. Engaging with the Twisted Bud too early will result in a curse that prevents healing and tool use for the remainder of the main quest, making progression significantly harder.

Once you have completed the necessary main story objectives and are ready to pursue alternative endings:

Obtain the Twisted Bud. This item is found by proceeding through the Whispering Vaults, dropping into Bilewater, following the left path, and then doubling back to a crying sound to find it in a cradle.
After acquiring the Twisted Bud, new objectives will guide you to the new zone, The Abyss.
In the bottom right region of The Abyss, acquire the Silk Soar ability. This ability is essential for completing the ending.
Progress through other quests, such as the Green Prince, which may be available in The Abyss.
