Relic Enhancement

Master Honkai: Star Rail Relic enhancement. Learn stats, leveling, farming, and prioritization for optimal character builds and combat power.

Relic Enhancement Guide

Optimizing your characters in Honkai: Star Rail hinges on effective Relic enhancement. This guide breaks down the process, from understanding Relic stats to the best ways to level them up for maximum combat effectiveness. Learn how to farm the right Relics and use enhancement materials wisely to boost your team's power.

Relics are crucial equipment pieces that provide significant stat boosts and set bonuses to your characters. They are divided into two types: the five pieces that form a Relic Set (Head, Hands, Body, Feet, and Link Rope) and the two pieces that form a Planar Ornament Set (Planar Sphere and Broken Keel). Each piece has a main stat and can roll with up to four sub-stats. The rarity of a Relic determines its potential sub-stats and the level at which new ones are unlocked.

Understanding Relic Stats

  • Main Stats: These are fixed for certain slots (e.g., Head and Hands always have HP and ATK respectively). Other slots can have several main stats, making them highly valuable.
  • Sub-stats: These are randomly rolled and can include ATK, DEF, HP, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, SPD, Effect Hit Rate, Effect RES, and more.
  • Rarity: Relics come in rarities from 2-star to 5-star. Higher rarity Relics have more potential sub-stats and can be enhanced to higher levels.

Relic Enhancement Process

To enhance a Relic, you'll need Enhancement Materials, typically gained from Caverns of Corrosion or by dismantling unwanted Relics. Each Relic can be enhanced up to level 15 (for 5-star Relics). At specific levels (e.g., +3, +6, +9, +12, +15), a new sub-stat will be added or an existing one will be upgraded.

Relic Rarity Max Level Sub-stat Unlock Levels
2-Star +6 +3
3-Star +9 +3, +6
4-Star +12 +3, +6, +9
5-Star +15 +3, +6, +9, +12

Prioritizing Enhancement

Focus on enhancing 5-star Relics, especially those with desirable main stats and sub-stats. Early on, you might use 4-star Relics, but aim to replace them with 5-star gear as soon as possible. Prioritize characters who are central to your main team, ensuring their core stats are well-supported by enhanced Relics.

Farming Relics

The primary source for Relics is the Caverns of Corrosion. Each Cavern drops specific Relic sets. Choose the Cavern that drops the sets most beneficial for your current team composition. Remember that farming Relics is a grind, and you'll often get suboptimal rolls. Don't be afraid to experiment and upgrade pieces that might not be perfect but offer significant improvements.
