Relics are crucial equipment in Honkai: Star Rail that significantly boost a character's stats and provide set bonuses. Relics are obtained from Cavern of Corrosion and Simulated Universe. Each Relic piece has a fixed main stat, but substats are randomized. The rarity and level of the Relic influence the number and quality of substats. Higher rarity Relics (4-star and 5-star) offer more potential for powerful stat boosts.
Relic Main Stats
The main stat of a Relic piece is determined by its slot. Here's a general overview:
- Head (HP): Always provides HP.
- Hands (ATK): Always provides ATK.
- Body: Can roll CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, DEF%, HP%, or Effect RES.
- Feet: Can roll SPD, ATK%, DEF%, or HP%.
- Planar Ornament (Sphere): Can roll DMG% for a specific element (Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, Imaginary), ATK%, DEF%, or HP%.
- Planar Ornament (Link Rope): Can roll Break Effect, Energy Regeneration Rate, ATK%, DEF%, or HP%.
Relic Substats
Substats are where the true optimization lies. They are randomly rolled when a Relic is obtained and can be further upgraded as the Relic is leveled up. Each substat can appear multiple times on a single Relic, but there's a limit to the total number of substat rolls.
- Available Substats: CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK, ATK%, DEF, DEF%, HP, HP%, SPD, Effect Hit Rate, Effect RES.
- Substat Upgrades: Every 4 levels (4, 8, 12, 16), a Relic will gain a new substat or upgrade an existing one. The value of the upgrade is randomized within a certain range.
Relic Sets
Equipping two or four pieces of the same Relic set grants powerful bonuses. Choosing the right set for your character is as important as the stats themselves.
