Every enemy possesses an elemental Weakness, represented by a Toughness bar. Attacking an enemy with an attack that matches their Weakness deals increased Toughness damage. Successfully depleting this bar triggers a Weakness Break, incapacitating the enemy and often inflicting additional negative effects.
Understanding and effectively using the Weakness Break system is crucial for success, especially in challenging content like the Simulated Universe or boss fights. How it Works:
- Elemental Weaknesses: Each enemy has one or more elemental weaknesses (Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, Imaginary).
- Toughness Bar: Below an enemy's HP bar is a Toughness bar, indicating how much elemental damage they can withstand before breaking.
- Dealing Toughness Damage: Attacks matching an enemy's Weakness deal significantly more Toughness damage than non-matching attacks.
- Weakness Break: When the Toughness bar is depleted, the enemy enters a Weakness Broken state.
Effects of Weakness Break:
- Stun: The enemy is stunned and cannot act for a duration.
- Delayed Action: Their turn is significantly delayed, often pushing them to the end of the turn order.
- Reduced Stats: Enemies often suffer from reduced DEF and other stats while Broken.
- Elemental DMG Vulnerability: Some enemies may also become more vulnerable to specific elemental damage types after being Broken.
