Planar Ornament Basics
Planar Ornaments are a special type of Relic in Honkai: Star Rail that occupy the final two equipment slots: the Planar Sphere and the Link Rope. These Ornaments offer unique main stats and powerful set bonuses that can significantly alter a character's role and effectiveness, making them indispensable for endgame builds.
Unlike standard Relics, Planar Ornaments are obtained from the Simulated Universe, specifically from the final boss stages. Each World within the Simulated Universe offers a different pool of Planar Ornament sets, encouraging players to engage with this challenging game mode. The variety of main stats and set bonuses available makes farming for the right Planar Ornaments a key part of character optimization.
Here's a breakdown of Planar Ornaments:
- Slots: Planar Sphere and Link Rope.
- Acquisition: Primarily obtained from the final boss rewards in each World of the Simulated Universe. Higher Worlds offer better chances for 5-star Ornaments and more desirable sets.
- Main Stats:
- Planar Sphere: Can roll with ATK%, DEF%, HP%, Physical DMG%, Fire DMG%, Ice DMG%, Lightning DMG%, Wind DMG%, Quantum DMG%, Imaginary DMG%, or Effect HIT Rate%.
- Link Rope: Can roll with ATK%, DEF%, HP%, Energy Regeneration Rate%, or Effect RES%.
- Set Bonuses: There are several Planar Ornament sets, each with a two-piece bonus. Examples include:
- Space Sealing Station: Increases ATK. If the wearer has 100% Energy, ATK increases further.
- Broken Keel: Increases Effect RES. If the wearer's Effect RES reaches 30% or higher, all allies' Crit DMG increases.
- Talia: Kingdom of Banditry: Increases SPD. If the wearer's SPD reaches 140 or higher, the wearer's Break Effect increases.
- Salyat: People of the Stars: Increases the wearer's Break Effect.
- Leveling: Like other Relics, Planar Ornaments can be leveled up using Relic EXP materials. Sub-stats become visible and upgrade at specific level intervals.
Choosing the correct Planar Ornament set and main stats is crucial for tailoring a character's build. For instance, a DPS might benefit from ATK% or a specific DMG% on their Sphere and ATK% or Energy Regeneration Rate on their Link Rope, while a support might prefer HP% or DEF% on their Sphere and Energy Regeneration Rate or Effect RES on their Link Rope.
