Relics are a crucial form of equipment in Honkai: Star Rail, significantly boosting a character's stats and providing powerful set bonuses. Equipping the right Relics can dramatically enhance a character's effectiveness, turning a decent unit into a powerhouse. Understanding how Relics work is fundamental to optimizing your team's performance.

Relics are divided into two main categories: the 'Body' and 'Limbs' slots, which include Head, Hands, Body, and Boots, and the 'Planar' slots, which include the Planar Sphere and Link Rope. Each piece of Relic has a main stat and can roll with up to four sub-stats. The Head and Hands pieces always have fixed main stats (HP and ATK, respectively), while the Body and Boots pieces can have several main stats, and the Planar Sphere and Link Rope have their own unique pools of main stats.

Relics come in different rarities, with 5-star Relics being the most sought-after for their high stat potential and powerful set bonuses. There are various Relic sets, each offering unique two-piece and four-piece bonuses. These bonuses are designed to synergize with specific character roles or playstyles. For example, a set might increase Crit DMG, boost a specific elemental damage type, or enhance defensive capabilities.

Here's what you need to know about Relics:

• Sets: There are multiple Relic sets, each with distinct bonuses. Combining two pieces from the same set grants a two-piece bonus, while equipping four pieces from the same set grants a more powerful four-piece bonus.
• Main Stats: These are the primary stats on a Relic piece. Choosing the correct main stat for each slot is paramount. For example, a DPS might want Crit Rate/DMG on their Body piece, while a support might prefer Energy Regeneration Rate on their Link Rope.
• Sub-stats: These are secondary stats that roll on a Relic. They can include HP%, ATK%, DEF%, Speed, Effect Hit Rate, Effect RES, Crit Rate, Crit DMG, and more. Sub-stats become more numerous as you level up a Relic.
• Leveling: Relics can be leveled up using Relic EXP materials. Each level-up has a chance to upgrade one of the existing sub-stats or add a new sub-stat (up to a maximum of four).

Farming the correct Relic sets with desirable main stats and sub-stats is a significant part of the endgame grind in Honkai: Star Rail. Prioritize sets and stats that best complement your main damage dealers and supports to maximize their potential.
