Further into the forest, you'll encounter a dog patrolling a small clearing. Dogs are highly aggressive and will chase you on sight. Your best bet here is to use the environment to your advantage. There's a small ditch or log you can hide behind. Wait for the dog to move away, then quickly run past. If spotted, try to outrun it to the next safe zone or interactable object.
