Hunter Boss Strategy

The Hunter boss in Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a swift and agile adversary who relies on ranged attacks and quick, evasive maneuvers. This encounter tests Kena's ability to close the distance, dodge projectiles, and capitalize on brief moments of vulnerability. The Hunter is often found in more open arenas, allowing for greater mobility but also making it easier for him to keep Kena at bay with his bow.

The core strategy against the Hunter is to constantly pressure him and limit his ability to fire arrows. Use Kena's dodge to evade his projectiles, which often come in quick volleys or as charged shots. Once you've dodged an attack, sprint towards him to close the gap. When you're in close range, the Hunter will often resort to a quick melee attack or attempt to create distance. These are your opportunities to land several staff hits. The Rot can be incredibly useful here; direct them to fire arrows at the Hunter to interrupt his shots or to deal consistent damage while you're maneuvering. If the Hunter attempts to charge a powerful shot, use your Rot's abilities to stun him or to deal significant damage, creating a large opening. Be patient; it's better to land a few safe hits after a successful dodge or parry than to overcommit and take unnecessary damage. Mastering the timing of your dodges and knowing when to aggressively close the distance are key to defeating the Hunter.
