Toshi Phase 1: Corrupted Toshi
The first phase of the Toshi boss fight sees Kena facing Toshi in his corrupted, physical form. Corrupted Toshi is a powerhouse, wielding a massive weapon that delivers devastating, wide-sweeping attacks. His attacks are slow to wind up but incredibly damaging, and they cover a large area, making positioning and timely dodges absolutely critical for survival.
Your primary focus in this phase should be on evasion and identifying safe attack windows. Stay at a medium distance and watch for his attack tells. After he completes a heavy combo or a charged slam, there will be a brief period where he is vulnerable. This is your opportunity to land a few staff hits. The Rot can be used to distract him momentarily or to deal consistent chip damage while you reposition. Be extremely cautious of his ground-pound attack, which has a significant area of effect; a perfectly timed dodge is essential to avoid taking heavy damage. Avoid getting greedy; landing one or two safe hits and then retreating is far more effective than attempting long combos that leave you exposed. Conserve your Spirit energy for healing or for using Rot abilities to interrupt his more dangerous attacks if the opportunity arises.
