For example, when crafting a helmet for a spellcaster, you'll want to prioritize bases that offer inherent spell damage or mana regeneration. You'll then look to add affixes like "+% Spell Damage," "+% Cooldown Reduction," or "Increased Mana." For a melee character, a chest piece might benefit from bases offering increased armor or health, with affixes like "+% Physical Damage," "+% Attack Speed," or "Increased Health."

When aiming for specific affixes, consider the affix tier and its potential. Higher tiers offer more potent bonuses. Use the crafting system to add desirable affixes one by one, using "Shattering" to remove unwanted ones if necessary. Remember that certain affixes are exclusive to specific item types or rarities.
