Dungeon Rewards
Dungeons in Last Epoch offer unique challenges and, more importantly, exclusive rewards that can sificantly enhance your character's power. From powerful unique items to specialized gear affixes, understanding dungeon rewards is key to optimizing your endgame progression.
Dungeons are instanced areas within Last Epoch that provide challenging encounters and, upon completion, offer unique loot opportunities. Each dungeon has its own theme, mechanics, and specific pool of rewards, making them valuable destinations for targeted gear acquisition. Mastering these dungeons and understanding their loot tables is a cornerstone of effective endgame farming.
Types of Dungeon Rewards:
- Unique Items: Many dungeons have specific unique items that can only drop within them. These uniques often have powerful effects tailored to specific playstyles or build archetypes. For example, the Lightless Arbor can drop unique items that synergize well with poison-based builds or defensive setups.
- Set Items: While less common than uniques, some dungeons may offer unique set pieces that provide powerful bonuses when multiple pieces are equipped.
- Specialized Affixes: Some dungeons introduce unique affixes that can only be found on gear obtained from that dungeon. These affixes can offer powerful stat boosts or entirely new mechanics, such as increased damage against specific enemy types or unique defensive properties.
- Crafting Materials: Dungeons can also be a source of rare crafting materials needed for high-end item crafting.
Specific Dungeon Examples:
- Lightless Arbor: This dungeon is known for its focus on Poison damage and features bosses like The Mountain Beneath. Rewards can include items that enhance poison builds or provide strong defensive layers.
- Temporal Sanctum: This dungeon, often associated with Julra, offers unique rewards related to time manipulation and spellcasting, including powerful unique items and specialized affixes.
- Soulfire Bastion: This dungeon features fire-themed enemies and bosses, with rewards often benefiting fire-based builds or offering resistances against fire damage.
How to Access Dungeons:
To enter a dungeon, you typically need a corresponding Dungeon Key. These keys can drop from random enemies throughout the world, from timeline bosses in the Monolith of Fate, or from specific endgame activities. Right-clicking a dungeon key on your map will reveal its location.
Farming Dungeons:
When farming dungeons for specific rewards, consider the difficulty and your build's strengths. Higher Corruption levels in Empowered Monoliths often increase the drop rate of dungeon keys and can influence the quality of items found within the dungeons themselves. Always ensure you have adequate resistances and defensive layers for the specific dungeon you are entering.
