Lightless Arbor Dungeon Guide
The Lightless Arbor is a challenging endgame dungeon in Last Epoch, known for its dark, overgrown environment and Poison-infused enemies. Successfully navigating its depths requires preparation, particularly in managing Poison Resistance. This guide will detail how to enter the dungeon, its unique mechanics, and the valuable rewards you can obtain.
This dungeon is characterized by its oppressive darkness, where a special mechanic called Burning Amber is crucial for navigation and progression. Players must learn to utilize this mechanic effectively to overcome the challenges within. Understanding the elemental focus of the dungeon, which is Poison Damage, is paramount for survival and success.
How to Enter the Lightless Arbor
To access the Lightless Arbor, you will need a Lightless Arbor Key. These keys can be found as random drops from enemies throughout the game, or more reliably, by defeating Timeline bosses. The dungeon itself is located in the Last Refuge area, within the Ruined Era. After reaching The Surface waypoint, follow the path to find the entrance.
Dungeon Mechanic: Burning Amber
Upon entering the Lightless Arbor, a unique mechanic called the Burning Amber will accompany you. This glowing orb provides a limited light source, essential for navigating the pitch-black environment. You can control the Burning Amber using the 'Illumination' ability, allowing it to scout ahead or be recalled to your position. Progressing through the dungeon involves finding and lighting Pyres using the Burning Amber. Enemies outside the Amber's light deal increased damage and take reduced damage, so luring them into the light is a key strategy.
Elements and Resistances
The Lightless Arbor heavily features Poison Damage. It is highly recommended to stack Poison Resistance on your gear to mitigate the sificant damage dealt by enemies and environmental hazards within this dungeon. Aim for at least 75% Poison Resistance to comfortably face the challenges ahead.
