Vision is arguably the most important 'side activity' in League of Legends. Wards provide sight in an area, revealing enemy champions, minions, and monsters. Every player starts with a Stealth Ward (Yellow Trinket), which can be upgraded to a Farsight Alteration (Blue Trinket) for long-range vision or a Oracle Lens (Red Trinket) to sweep for enemy wards. Supports typically buy Control Wards (Pink Wards), which grant permanent vision and reveal/disable enemy wards. Placing wards in strategic locations (river, jungle entrances, objective pits) is crucial for preventing ganks, setting up plays, and securing objectives. Denying enemy vision with Oracle Lens is equally important.
