Chapter 2: Loewe (First Encounter) Strategy
In Chapter 2, you'll encounter Loewe. This section details the path to a monster chest containing a Cast 1 quartz and provides insights into character choices like Agate and Scherazard for early-game effectiveness.
To reach a monster chest, navigate the area by first flipping a switch to extend a metal bridge. Cross it to find an Attack 1. Return to the entrance platform, take the longer bridge to an intersection, and follow the left path to pull a lever that changes the water level. Backtrack to the intersection, take the right path, and flip another switch. Collect the Silver Earring from the middle patch. Equip it on Estelle. Descend the staircase, head left, then down into the waterway. A staircase leads to a platform with three chests containing Reviving Balm, the Surprise Cookie Recipe, and various sepiths x10. After looting, return to the waterway and head north to a dead end with a monster chest. Defeat the monsters to acquire Cast 1, which can be given to your primary mage (e.g., Anelace).
Character Considerations:
- Agate: Available from Chapter 1, Agate is a strong frontline attacker. He can raise his CP using his max HP, and his Wild Rage 2 allows frequent S-break usage. His attacks, such as Draguna Edge and Flame Edge, are effective against groups, with Draguna Edge having a wide line. Spiral Edge inflicts AT delay on single foes. His S-Crafts (Beat Down for single target, Final Break for group) deal devastating damage. However, he has poor magic defense and limited arts due to his orbal quartz branches, meaning his slots are best used for parameter boosts.
- Scherazard: Also available from Chapter 1, Scherazard specializes in wind arts and deals mid-range damage with her whip, keeping her safe from self-destructing enemies.
