- Chain Attacks: These are not a direct mechanic but rather a result of strategic combat. When multiple characters act in quick succession, especially after a critical hit or a successful Craft that stuns an enemy, you can effectively chain attacks together. This allows for sustained damage output and can prevent enemies from retaliating. Coordinating your party's actions based on the AT Bar is key to creating effective chain attacks.
- S-Crafts (Super Crafts): These are the ultimate expressions of a character's combat prowess. Each character has a unique S-Craft that can be unleashed when their S-Craft gauge is full. The gauge fills up as characters deal and receive damage, or by using specific items.
- Activation: On PSP, press the R button. On PC, this is typically mapped to a specific key (check controls).
- Power: S-Crafts are incredibly powerful, dealing significant damage and often having additional effects like AOE (Area of Effect) or status ailments.
- Strategic Use: S-Crafts are best saved for tough enemies, bosses, or when you need to quickly eliminate a threat. They can also be used to interrupt enemy casting or to break through strong defenses.
