Sepith Types & Gathering

Sepith is the fundamental currency of magic and technology in the world of Trails in the Sky SC. These crystalline fragments are the raw material from which Quartz are crafted, enabling characters to cast Arts and utilize powerful combat skills. Understanding the different types of Sepith and how to gather them is crucial for character progression and combat effectiveness.

There are five primary types of Sepith, each corresponding to a different element and used in the creation of specific Quartz:

Sepith Type Element Primary Use
Tear (Red) Fire Fire Arts, offensive buffs
Aqua (Blue) Water Water Arts, healing Arts
Wind (Green) Wind Wind Arts, movement Arts
Earth (Yellow) Earth Earth Arts, defensive buffs
Time (Clear) Space/Time Space Arts, Time Arts, status ailment Arts

In addition to these elemental Sepith, there is also Shadow Sepith (Black), which is rarer and often obtained from specific enemies or quests. Shadow Sepith is typically used for more advanced or unique Quartz.

Gathering Sepith is a core gameplay loop:

  • Enemy Drops: The most common method is defeating enemies. Most monsters will drop a small amount of Sepith, often corresponding to their elemental affinity or the environment they inhabit. Stronger enemies tend to drop more Sepith.
  • Battle Bonus: Executing specific combat techniques, such as using Arts or Crafts effectively, landing critical hits, or exploiting enemy weaknesses, can increase the "Battle Bonus" at the end of a fight. This bonus often translates to more Sepith collected.
  • Quartz Abilities: Certain Quartz, when equipped, can passively increase the amount of Sepith gathered from battles.
  • Environmental Nodes: In some areas, you may find glowing nodes or deposits that can be mined for Sepith.
  • Quests and Rewards: Various side quests and main story objectives will reward players with significant amounts of Sepith.

It's important to manage your Sepith inventory, as it's used not only for crafting Quartz but also for upgrading existing ones and sometimes for purchasing items or services. Prioritize gathering Sepith that als with the Arts you wish to learn or the Quartz you intend to craft for your party members.
