While Trails in the Sky SC is generally forgiving, there are a few quests and events that can be missed if not approached at the correct time. Missing these can result in lost rewards, story insights, or even affect your final Bracer Rank. Always check your Bracer Notebook for active quests and pay attention to NPC dialogue for time-sensitive opportunities.
Key Missable Elements:
- Bounties: Many monster bounties are only available during specific chapters or before certain story events. Failing to defeat them within the allotted time means they are gone for good. For example, the bounty for the "Gorgon" in the Grancel region is often time-sensitive.
- Side Quests: Certain optional side quests are only accessible during specific parts of the game. For instance, quests involving specific characters or locations might disappear once the story progresses past a certain point. Always prioritize completing available side quests when they appear.
- NPC Interactions: Some optional dialogue or minor events with NPCs are tied to specific story progression points. While not strictly "missable" in terms of rewards, you might miss out on character development or flavor text if you don't speak to them at the right time.
- Fishing: While not a quest, certain rare fish can only be caught during specific chapters or in certain locations. If you're a completionist or aiming for the fishing achievements, be mindful of when and where you fish.
