Orbment Crafting, often referred to as the Sepith Exchange in Trails in the Sky SC, is a fundamental system for customizing your characters' abilities and stats. By exchanging collected Sepith, you can unlock new Arts, improve existing ones, and enhance your characters' innate strengths. Mastering this system is key to overcoming the game's challenges.
Sepith is a crucial resource obtained from defeated enemies, found in treasure chests, and sometimes awarded for completing quests. There are seven types of Sepith: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Time, Space, and Mirage. Each character has a unique Orbment line, which dictates the types of Sepith slots they possess and the Arts they can learn. The layout and capacity of these slots vary significantly between characters.
How to Craft Arts and Abilities:
- Access the Orbment Menu: From the main menu, navigate to the Orbment section. Here you can view each character's Orbment grid.
- Analyze Orbment Slots: Each character has a limited number of slots arranged in a grid. These slots are pre-determined and cannot be changed.
- Exchange Sepith: To craft an Art or ability, you need to place specific Sepith types into adjacent slots on a character's Orbment grid. The required Sepith types and quantities are displayed when you attempt to activate a new Art or ability.
- Discovering New Arts: As you fill slots with the correct Sepith combinations, new Arts will become available. These range from offensive elemental spells to powerful healing and support abilities.
- Stat Bonuses: Beyond Arts, certain Sepith combinations can also provide passive stat bonuses, such as increased HP, MP, or elemental resistances.

- Prioritize Key Arts: Focus on unlocking essential healing and buffing Arts for your support characters early on.
- Elemental Coverage: Ensure your party has a good range of elemental attacks to exploit enemy weaknesses.
- Character Specialization: Tailor Orbment setups to each character's strengths. For example, a character with high Intelligence might focus on powerful offensive Arts, while another might be better suited for support.
- Sepith Management: Conserve Sepith when possible, but don't be afraid to spend it on crucial upgrades. Farming Sepith from specific monster types or areas can be beneficial.
