Orbment slots and lines are the core of character customization in Trails in the Sky SC. By strategically placing Quartz within your Orbment, you can unlock powerful Arts, boost stats, and tailor each character to your preferred playstyle.
- Orbment Slots: Each character has a limited number of Orbment slots. These are where you insert Quartz. The number and arrangement of these slots vary between characters.
- Orbment Lines: These are the pathways connecting the Orbment slots. When you place Quartz in connected slots, they form lines. The type and length of these lines determine which Arts you can learn and the stat bonuses you receive.
- Elemental Lines: Orbment lines are associated with different elements: Fire (F), Water (W), Earth (E), Wind (Wi), Time (T), Space (S), Mirage (M), and Null (N).
- Learning Arts: To learn an Art, you need to connect specific elemental lines with sufficient "points" in your Orbment. For example, to learn the Fire Art 'Scorching Heat', you might need a certain amount of Fire elemental points connected.
- Stat Bonuses: Placing Quartz also grants passive stat bonuses based on the element and the number of connected slots. For instance, Fire Quartz might increase Strength, while Water Quartz might increase Defense.
- Line Configuration: The physical layout of the slots matters. Some configurations allow for longer elemental lines, enabling more powerful Arts.
Carefully consider your Orbment setup for each character. Do you want a dedicated mage, a physical attacker with some buffs, or a balanced support character? Your Orbment configuration is the key to achieving these goals.
