Walkthrough
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC picks up immediately after the events of the first game, with Estelle Bright embarking on a quest to find her missing adopted brother, Joshua. The journey will take you across the vast Liberl Kingdom, revisiting familiar locations and exploring new territories. Early in the game, you'll find yourself in Grancel, the capital city, where you'll need to gather information and prepare for your journey. Pay close attention to dialogue and side quests, as they often provide valuable clues and rewards.
As you progress, you'll encounter several challenging enemies and formidable bosses. It's crucial to manage your party's equipment and quartz effectively. Ensure your characters have the best available weapons and armor, and that their quartz are configured to exploit enemy weaknesses. For instance, many early-game monsters are weak to fire or water Arts. using the "Scan" craft or item to identify enemy weaknesses is highly recommended.
The game features a robust quest system. Always check your Bracer Notebook for active quests, both main story objectives and optional side quests. Completing side quests not only earns you experience and Sepith, but also Bracer Points, which are essential for ranking up and unlocking new abilities. Some quests may require you to travel to specific locations, defeat certain monsters, or deliver items. Don't neglect these, as they often lead to significant rewards and can open up new areas or story paths.
Combat is turn-based, with an emphasis on strategic positioning and the use of Arts and Crafts. The "Chain" system allows characters to follow up on each other's attacks, dealing massive damage. Mastering the timing of these chains, along with the effective use of status effects and healing Arts, will be key to overcoming the game's toughest encounters. Remember to save frequently, especially before challenging boss battles or entering new, unexplored areas.
