Popular Mini-Games:
- Udon Shop: Work as a server, taking orders and delivering udon quickly and accurately. A rhythm-based mini-game.
- Cho-Han/Oicho-Kabu: Traditional Japanese gambling games found in various gambling dens. Be cautious, as you can lose a lot of money.
- Chicken Racing: Bet on chickens in races. Requires some strategy and luck to pick winners.
- Fishing: A relaxing activity where you can catch various fish to sell or use in cooking. Different fishing spots yield different types of fish.
- Singing/Dancing: Perform at various establishments to earn Virtue and money. These are rhythm-based mini-games.
- Wood Chopping: A simple quick-time event mini-game that earns you Virtue and wood for crafting.
- Shogi: Japanese chess. Can be quite challenging but offers good rewards for skilled players.
Many mini-games have completion lists and high scores, offering additional rewards for mastering them. They are a great way to break up the intensity of the main story and explore the lighter side of Bakumatsu Japan. Some mini-games also have associated sub-stories that unlock after reaching certain milestones.
