This boss fight occurs during your first assignments within the Shinsengumi. The captain is a well-rounded fighter, often utilizing a combination of sword and unarmed combat.

Phases & Attacks:
- Phase 1: Primarily uses strong sword attacks, similar to the Swordsman style. He has a powerful overhead slash.
- Phase 2 (approx. 50% HP): Switches to a more aggressive Brawler-like style, incorporating grabs and powerful punches. He might also throw objects from the environment.
Strategy:
- Style Recommendation: Wild Dancer for evasion and crowd control (if there are adds), or Swordsman for direct damage. Brawler can be effective in Phase 2 for guard breaks.
- Defense: Guarding is generally effective in Phase 1. In Phase 2, be ready to dodge his grabs and powerful punches.
- Offense: In Phase 1, look for openings after his combos. In Phase 2, use Brawler's guard breaks or Wild Dancer's evasive attacks to chip away at his health.
- Heat Actions: Use Heat Actions when he's stunned or after a successful dodge/parry.
- Trooper Cards: If available, use Trooper Cards that provide defensive buffs or extra damage.
