Sub-stories are short, self-contained narratives that flesh out the world and characters of Kyo. They range from humorous encounters to poignant tales, often rewarding you with Virtue, money, and sometimes unique items or access to new activities.

How to Find Sub-Stories:

• Look for NPCs with a speech bubble icon above their heads on the mini-map and in the environment.
• Some sub-stories are triggered by simply walking into a specific area or overhearing a conversation.
• Certain sub-stories only appear at specific times of day or after reaching a certain point in the main story.

Tips for Completing Sub-Stories:

• Read Carefully: Pay attention to dialogue, as it often contains clues on how to proceed.
• Explore: Many sub-stories require you to find specific items or talk to other NPCs in different districts.
• Be Prepared for Combat: A significant number of sub-stories end in a fight, so ensure your health and Heat Gauge are ready.
• Make Choices: Some sub-stories offer dialogue choices that can affect the outcome or your reward.

Completing sub-stories is one of the best ways to earn Virtue, which is essential for unlocking various upgrades at the Shrine. Aim to complete as many as possible as you progress through the main story.
