A mysterious organization known as the "Black Tide" has begun to destabilize the delicate balance of power among Hawaii's criminal factions, drawing Kiryu back into a life of conflict.

Walkthrough: The First Encounter

1. Arrival at Honolulu International Airport: After the opening cinematic, you'll gain control of Kiryu. Your first objective is to reach your safe house in Waikiki.
2. Taxi Ride & Initial Combat Tutorial: As you exit the airport, a cutscene will trigger, introducing you to the bustling streets of Honolulu. Shortly after, a group of aggressive "Street Punks" will attempt to mug you near the Kalakaua Avenue Taxi Stand. This serves as your basic combat tutorial.
   • Strategy: Focus on learning the basic attack (Square/X), heavy attack (Triangle/Y), and dodge (Circle/B) mechanics. Utilize environmental objects like the nearby Trash Can for Heat Actions.
   • Reward: Defeating the punks will net you 500 Yen and a Staminan X.
3. Locating the Safe House: Follow the minimap marker to your safe house, a modest apartment located above the Aloha Cafe on Kuhio Avenue.
4. First Information Gathering: Inside the safe house, interact with the Old Laptop on the desk to access initial intel on the Black Tide. This will reveal their primary base of operations is rumored to be within the abandoned Kapi'olani Park Lighthouse.

1. The Beach Brawl: Head to Waikiki Beach. A cutscene will trigger showing Ichiban attempting to "negotiate" with some Black Tide enforcers over a stolen heirloom.
   • Strategy: You'll be forced into a tag-team battle with Ichiban. This is your introduction to the "Essence of Tag-Team" Heat Action. Focus on enemies marked with a blue aura to build your tag-team meter faster.

2. Diamond Head Ascent: Travel to the base of Diamond Head. The path is linear, but you'll encounter several Black Tide patrols.
   • Strategy: Utilize Kiryu's "Dragon of Dojima" style for powerful single-target damage and Ichiban's "Hero" style for crowd control.
   • Item Location: Near the summit, look for a hidden alcove off the main path to find a Health Drink EX and a Lucky Charm.
3. Puzzle: The Sunstone Pedestal: At the summit, you'll find a pedestal with three empty slots and a riddle: "When the sun kisses the stone, the path will be shown."
   • Solution: You need to find three "Sunstones" scattered around the summit.
     1. Sunstone 1: On a rock outcrop overlooking the ocean, near the old military bunker.
     2. Sunstone 2: Buried beneath a pile of loose rocks next to the observation deck (requires a quick-time event to clear).
     3. Sunstone 3: Held by a lone Black Tide scout patrolling the eastern rim. Defeat him to acquire it.
   • Activation: Place the Sunstones on the pedestal. A beam of light will reveal a hidden cave entrance.
