Aloha Links: These are short, often humorous encounters with various NPCs around Hawaii. By interacting with them, you can increase your 'Aloha Link' level. Higher Aloha Link levels can unlock discounts at shops, special items, or even new Poundmates. Look for NPCs with a handshake icon above their heads.
Poundmates: These are powerful allies you can summon in combat for a fee. Each Poundmate has a unique skill, ranging from powerful attacks to healing or status buffs. You unlock new Poundmates by completing certain substories, progressing the main story, or increasing your Aloha Link with specific characters. Managing your Poundmate roster and knowing when to call upon them can turn the tide of difficult battles.
