Welcome, intrepid explorer of Limbo! Beyond the main narrative, the world holds secrets for those brave enough to seek them. This section details the locations and strategies for uncovering every hidden collectible, crucial for unlocking achievements and truly mastering the game's darkest corners.

There are 10 Hidden Eggs scattered throughout Limbo. Collecting all of them will unlock the "Secret Achievements" and reveal a deeper layer to the game's enigmatic lore. Be warned, some are exceptionally well-hidden and require precise timing or clever manipulation of the environment.

Hidden Egg Locations

Below is a comprehensive list of all Hidden Egg locations, organized by the chapter in which they can be found. We recommend tackling these during a dedicated collectible run after completing the main story, as some require backtracking or specific puzzle solutions that might be clearer on a second playthrough.

Chapter 01

  • Hidden Egg #1: The Spider's Web
    • Location: Shortly after escaping the giant spider's initial pursuit, you'll come to an area with a large, broken tree trunk.
    • Strategy: Instead of proceeding right, climb onto the broken tree trunk. Jump to the left, towards the background. You'll need to time your jump carefully to land on a hidden ledge. The egg is nestled in the shadows here.

Chapter 02

  • Hidden Egg #2: The Bear Trap Pit
    • Location: After navigating the series of bear traps and pushing the crate to cross a gap, you'll see a small, dark alcove above the main path.
    • Strategy: Push the crate you used to cross the gap further to the right, directly beneath the alcove. Jump onto the crate, then jump again to reach the hidden ledge above. The egg is waiting there.

Chapter 03

  • Hidden Egg #3: The Swinging Rope
    • Location: In the section where you use a swinging rope to cross a wide chasm, just before encountering the first mind-controlling worm.
    • Strategy: Instead of immediately jumping off the rope to the right, swing back and forth with maximum momentum. At the peak of your swing to the left, jump off. You'll land on a small, barely visible platform. The egg is at the end of this platform.

Chapter 04

  • Hidden Egg #4: The Log Slide
    • Location: After the sequence where you push a large log down a slope to clear a path, you'll find yourself in a dark, watery area.
    • Strategy: Swim to the far left of this area. Dive underwater in the darkest corner. The egg is submerged, resting on the bottom. You may need to adjust your camera slightly to spot it.

Chapter 05

  • Hidden Egg #5: The Falling Rocks
    • Location: In the area with the precarious rock formations that crumble when you step on them, just before the large, rotating gear puzzle.
    • Strategy: Carefully navigate the crumbling rocks until you reach a point where you can see a small, stable platform high above and to the left. You'll need to use the momentum of a falling rock to propel yourself upwards. Stand on a crumbling rock, let it fall slightly, then jump towards the stable platform. The egg is on this platform. This requires precise timing.

Chapter 06

  • Hidden Egg #6: The Hotel Sign
    • Location: In the urban environment, after you've passed the "HOTEL" sign that is partially submerged in water.
    • Strategy: Go past the "HOTEL" sign and continue right until you reach a dead end. Turn back and look closely at the "HOTEL" sign. You can jump onto the top of the sign. From there, jump to the left onto a hidden ledge above the water. The egg is tucked away here.

Chapter 07

  • Hidden Egg #7: The Conveyor Belt
    • Location: In the factory-like area with the large conveyor belt and crushing presses.
    • Strategy: When you reach the section with the two crushing presses, instead of immediately proceeding, look for a small gap in the ceiling directly above the conveyor belt, between the two presses. You need to time your jump to get onto the conveyor belt, then jump upwards into this gap as it passes underneath. The egg is in a small, dark room above.

Chapter 08

  • Hidden Egg #8: The Gravity Switch
    • Location: After you've utilized the gravity-switching mechanism to traverse a vertical shaft.
    • Strategy: Once you've used the gravity switch and are moving along the ceiling, keep an eye out for a small, recessed area on the "floor" (which is now the ceiling). You'll need to switch gravity back at the precise moment to fall into this hidden alcove. The egg is inside.

Chapter 09

  • Hidden Egg #9: The Giant Gears
    • Location: Within the intricate machinery section featuring massive, interlocking gears.
    • Strategy: In the area with the two large, rotating gears that you must navigate. Instead of just passing through, look for a small, stationary platform nestled between the gears on the upper left side. You'll need to carefully jump from a moving gear to this platform. The egg is located on this platform.

Chapter 10

  • Hidden Egg #10: The Final Descent
    • Location: Near the very end of the game, during the long, vertical descent through a series of platforms and obstacles, just before the final encounter.
    • Strategy: As you are falling and jumping between platforms, keep an eye on the far left side of the screen. There's a very small, almost invisible ledge jutting out. You need to intentionally fall past a platform and then quickly move left to land on this tiny ledge. The final egg is here. This is arguably the trickiest to find due to the speed and verticality of the section.
