This early puzzle introduces you to the delicate balance of weight and momentum. The goal is to cross a wide chasm using a precarious log bridge that is currently out of reach.

  • Location: Immediately after escaping the first large spider encounter.
  • Items Needed: None, only your wits and a bit of bravery.
  • Strategy:
    1. Proceed right until you reach the edge of the chasm. You'll see the log bridge suspended above, just out of jumping reach.
    2. Notice the large, loose boulder on the ledge to your left, slightly behind your current position.
    3. Run back to the boulder and push it off the ledge. It will fall into the chasm, creating a splash.
    4. The impact of the boulder will cause the log bridge to swing down and settle, forming a walkable path.
    5. Carefully cross the newly formed bridge. Be mindful of any sudden movements, as the bridge can still sway.

The Waterwheel Ascent (Chapter 05)

Navigating the industrial section requires careful manipulation of machinery. This puzzle involves using a large waterwheel to reach a higher platform.

  • Location: Within the abandoned factory, shortly after encountering the first set of crushing pistons.
  • Items Needed: A small, buoyant wooden crate (found nearby).
  • Strategy:
    1. Upon entering the waterwheel chamber, observe the large, rotating waterwheel. There's a platform high above that you need to reach.
    2. To your immediate left, you'll find a small wooden crate submerged in the water. Push it to the right, towards the waterwheel.
    3. Position the crate directly underneath one of the waterwheel's paddles.
    4. Jump onto the crate. As the waterwheel rotates, the paddle will push the crate (and you) upwards.
    5. At the apex of the waterwheel's rotation, jump off the crate onto the higher platform to your right. Timing is crucial here; jump too early or too late, and you'll fall back into the water.

The Gravity Switch Maze (Chapter 09)

This complex section introduces gravity-altering switches, demanding precise timing and understanding of the environment's new physics.

  • Location: Deep within the underground laboratory, marked by glowing blue panels.
  • Items Needed: None, but a keen eye for environmental cues is essential.
  • Strategy:
    1. Enter the first gravity chamber. You'll see a red gravity switch on the ceiling (which is currently the floor due to inverted gravity).
    2. Jump and activate the red switch. This will invert gravity, causing you to fall "up" to the opposite side of the chamber.
    3. Now on the new "floor," proceed right until you encounter a movable block. Push this block to the right, positioning it directly under the next red gravity switch.
    4. Jump onto the block, then jump again to activate the second red switch. Gravity will invert once more.
    5. You will now be on the original "floor," but the block you moved is now suspended above you. Quickly run to the right, past where the block was, before it falls and blocks your path.
    6. Continue through the newly opened passage. This sequence often requires quick reflexes, so be prepared to retry if you get crushed.
