Your first few expeditions will be challenging. Here are some tips to get started:

  1. Don't Be Afraid to Retreat: If your hero's health is low, or you're overwhelmed, retreat! You keep 60% of your resources if you retreat from the campfire tile, or 30% if you retreat from anywhere else. Any equipped items are lost upon retreat.
  2. Prioritize Resource Gathering: Early on, focus on gathering resources like Rock, Wood, and Food. These are essential for building structures in your camp.
  3. Understand Tile Synergy: Pay attention to how tiles interact. For example, placing a Forest next to a River grants bonus attack speed. Experiment with different placements.
  4. Manage Your Inventory: Always equip the best gear. Don't hoard items; if an item offers better stats, equip it immediately. Sell old items for a small resource bonus.
  5. Don't Overwhelm Yourself: Placing too many monster-spawning tiles too quickly can lead to an early demise. Balance monster density with your hero's strength.
  6. Focus on One Stat Early: For the Warrior, prioritize Damage or Attack Speed. For Rogue, Evasion. For Necromancer, Summon Quality and Skeleton Level.
