Choosing Your Role

When starting a new Franchise, you'll first select your role:

  • Coach: The most common and recommended role. You control all on-field decisions, roster management, scouting, and player development. You can choose to be an existing NFL coach or create your own.
  • Player: Similar to Superstar mode, but within the Franchise ecosystem. You control a single player (either an existing one or a created rookie) and focus on their career progression within the context of the team.
  • Owner: The most hands-off on-field role, but the most involved in business and financial management. You control stadium upgrades, team branding, pricing, and relocation, in addition to all coaching and player management aspects. This role is for those who enjoy the business side of sports.

For a balanced experience, 'Coach' is generally the best starting point as it gives you control over the most impactful aspects of the team.

Franchise Settings & Customization

Before beginning, you can customize numerous settings:

  • Difficulty: Adjust to your skill level.
  • Game Style: Arcade (fast-paced, high scores), Simulation (realistic), Competitive (eSports focused).
  • Salary Cap: On/Off (On for realism).
  • Trade Difficulty: Adjust how hard it is to make trades.
  • Relocation: On/Off (for Owner mode).
  • Staff Talent Tree: On/Off (influences coaching progression).

It's recommended to start with 'Simulation' game style and 'All-Pro' difficulty for a challenging yet fair experience. Ensure 'Staff Talent Tree' is on for a deeper management experience.
