Creating Your Superstar
Upon entering Superstar: The League, your first task is to create your player. You'll choose your position (QB, RB, WR, CB, LB), physical attributes, and initial archetype. Your archetype choice is critical as it determines your starting skill set and development path. For example, a 'Field General' QB will have higher accuracy, while a 'Scrambler' QB will prioritize speed and agility.
- Quarterback Archetypes: Field General, Strong Arm, Scrambler, Improviser
- Running Back Archetypes: Elusive Back, Power Back, Receiving Back
- Wide Receiver Archetypes: Route Runner, Deep Threat, Physical, Slot
- Cornerback Archetypes: Man-to-Man, Zone, Slot
- Linebacker Archetypes: Field General, Pass Rusher, Run Stopper
Carefully consider your preferred playstyle. A 'Deep Threat' WR will excel at long passes, while a 'Route Runner' will be better at creating separation on shorter routes.
The NFL Combine
After creation, you'll participate in the NFL Combine. This involves a series of mini-games and interviews that directly impact your draft stock. Performing well in drills like the 40-yard dash, bench press, and position-specific drills (e.g., throwing accuracy for QBs) will boost your draft projection. Pay close attention to the interview questions; your responses can influence team interest and even your personality traits, which affect off-field activities.
