Offensive Items
  • Green Shell: Fires straight ahead or backward. Bounces off walls. Good for direct hits or ricocheting around corners. Can be held behind you for defense.
  • Red Shell: Homing missile that targets the opponent directly in front of you. Extremely effective for closing gaps. Can be held behind you for defense.
  • Triple Green Shells: Three Green Shells that orbit your kart. Can be fired individually or used as a rotating shield.
  • Triple Red Shells: Three Red Shells that orbit your kart. Can be fired individually for multiple homing attacks.
  • Banana: Can be dropped behind you or thrown forward. Causes opponents to spin out. Excellent for setting traps on narrow paths or after item boxes. Can be held behind you for defense.
  • Triple Bananas: Three Bananas that orbit your kart. Can be dropped individually or used as a rotating shield.
  • Bob-omb: Thrown forward or dropped backward. Explodes after a short delay or on impact, causing anyone in its blast radius to spin out. Powerful but requires good aim.
  • Spiny Shell (Blue Shell): Targets You in 1st place, flying above the track and crashing down on them. Unavoidable for the target unless they have a Star or Mushroom for a well-timed dodge.
  • Lightning: Shrinks all opponents, making them slower and more susceptible to being run over. Lasts for a short duration. Extremely powerful for disrupting the entire field.
  • Fake Item Box: Looks identical to a regular item box but causes anyone who hits it to spin out. Best placed in high-traffic areas or immediately after real item boxes.

Practice aiming your shells and anticipating where opponents will be. Don't just fire blindly; think about the best moment to strike.
