- Drawbridge: The drawbridge in the middle of the track will occasionally open and close. If it's open, you'll fall into the water and lose time. Time your approach carefully.
- Water Hazards: Falling into the canals will cost you time. Be careful on the edges, especially during drifts.
- Tight Turns: Delfino Square has many tight corners. Mastering the mini-turbo here is crucial. Practice initiating drifts early and holding them through the turns.
- Item Boxes: Item boxes are plentiful throughout the town square. Look for opportunities to grab triple items.
- Shortcut: There's a significant shortcut through a small alleyway near the end of the lap. You need a Mushroom to cut through the grass and save a lot of time. This is a must-use for competitive play.
- Boost Panels: A few boost panels are located on the main path, particularly after the drawbridge.
