Wii Rainbow Road is arguably the toughest 'boss' in Mario Kart Wii due to its lack of guardrails, numerous tight turns, and long length. The key to success is absolute precision in drifting. Always aim for mini-turbos on every possible turn. There are several boost pads; ensure you hit them all. The most significant shortcut is near the beginning: after the first set of turns, you can use a Mushroom to jump across a large gap on the right. This requires perfect alignment and timing. Practice this jump in Time Trials. On the final section, use the half-pipe for a trick boost. A heavy character with a high-speed, high-drift bike (like the Flame Runner) is often preferred for this track to maximize speed and maintain control.
