Mario Kart Wii offers several control schemes to suit different playstyles. The most iconic is the Wii Wheel, which uses motion controls for steering. Hold the Wii Remote horizontally, tilting it left and right to steer. Accelerate by holding '2' and brake/reverse with '1'. Use items by pressing the D-Pad up. For a more traditional feel, you can attach a Nunchuk: the Control Stick steers, 'A' accelerates, 'B' brakes, and the D-Pad uses items. The Classic Controller and GameCube Controller are also supported, offering a familiar button layout for veteran racers. Experiment with each to find what feels most comfortable and gives you the best control over your kart or bike.
