Slipstreaming, also known as drafting, is a subtle but effective way to gain speed. When you drive directly behind another racer for a short period, you'll see wind lines appear around your kart/bike, and you'll receive a temporary speed boost. This is particularly useful on long straightaways to catch up to opponents or to maintain momentum. Be careful not to get too close, as you might collide with them. Slipstreaming can be combined with mini-turbos and wheelies to create powerful bursts of speed. It's a technique that rewards close-quarters racing and awareness of your position relative to other racers.
