Pi'illo Island and the Dream World are teeming with hidden secrets. Many valuable items, coins, and even Attack Pieces are tucked away in invisible blocks or obscure locations. Here's how to find them:
- Jump on Everything: If a suspicious area looks empty, try jumping with Mario (A button) or Luigi (B button). Many hidden blocks are revealed this way.
- Look for Discolorations: Sometimes, hidden blocks have a slight discoloration or shimmer on the ground beneath them.
- Check Corners & Edges: Always explore the very edges and corners of every screen. Many secrets are placed just out of the main path.
- Hammer Time: Use Luigi's hammer (B button) on cracked walls or suspicious-looking rocks in the real world.
- Dream World Manipulation: In the Dream World, use Luiginary Works to interact with the environment. For example, pulling on Luigi's nose might reveal a hidden path, or manipulating a stack of Luigis might open a new area.
- NPC Hints: Talk to all NPCs, even seemingly insignificant ones. They sometimes drop subtle hints about hidden areas or puzzles.
- Revisit Areas: As you gain new field abilities, revisit older areas. Many previously inaccessible secrets will become available.
